I did get this on Facebook on Sunday night - Apologies for missing your party! Been tied up with things and no time for anything else mate..But belatedly.. Happy birthday! - I just put it down to him being 86 and easily confused....

There were only so many that could be fitted in the pm, or so I believe. Our lovely/wonderful/fantastic* @Admin had bend the bits that need be so more than 3 could be in the pm. Yeah, sorry to those of you who weren't able to attend because you weren't aware it was even happening! We did the best we could. It was a bit tricky keeping it secret while also letting people in on it, and the forum had restrictions on the numbers of forumites who could be included in the private messaging thingy.
Thanks to all who turned up. I think it was a pretty good night. Apologies for falling asleep in my chair towards the end there. Often happens nowadays unfortunately, because I'm never able to get enough sleep and also it takes less beer to get me drunk than it used to. Ah well...
This is a good idea for the next gathering of forumites. Let's do it. I'll certainly be there and am looking forward to it. With any luck, I'll be awake. See you all there...?
