I hope they pull through this. It's the same old story with small pubs, shops etc who can't compete with the larger businesses

Blimey, lets hope it is just a rumour. We'll come along, Finbar and Tenshon might get their faces in the paper again .

I know this will be a controversial thing to say, but it probably doesn't help that it costs £12 to get in.

The seasoned fans will undoubtedly go on a regular basis, regardless of the price, and many will have season tickets, but on many occasions I've been put off by the price. To be honest, the quality of the football I've seen on previous visits to Marston Road doesn't warrant this much money.

I realise though that, due to the stature of the club and traditionally low gate reciepts, a relatively high entrance fee may be seen as the only way to recoup some money, but if enough people out there feel the same as me, then surely a bit of a drop on price would result in increased attendance, and hence revenue.

Not the most informed opinion in the world, admittedly, but that's how it seems - I know I would have gone a lot more were it not for the cost of getting in.

Having said that, it would be an almighty shame to see them go down the tubes, and I hope they find a way out. Can't go at the weekend though as I'm in London.

Nothing controversial jimbob, a point made by many of us at the club, and previously on here.

I made the appeal, echoed by our chairman in the press last night, because I see this as an opportunity for the "occaisionals", the curious, and interested, to attend a game. The club is desperate for cash, and on the brink of financial meltdown. If we make this appeal, and the good folk of Stafford don't respond, then that tells us what we need to know.

I could spen hours discussing the running of the club, pricing, marketting, player payments, etc; infact I do here! I made the appeal simple, because the issues at the club become clouded and full of arguements. I am sure that many of us know what has gone wrong, but we don't have the time to waste on that at the moment, the survival of the club is at stake!

Furry muff. Like I say, I'm in, or on my way back from, London on Saturday. Otherwise I might be tempted.

(To climb over the fence :P)
