:bananafunk:The Staffs Bull pub on Parkside has a new landlord and lady :bananafunk:and our local pub is back on form.

It looks like they will be serving food again early in the new year.

Would like to say that the new landlord and landlady are doing a great job of bringing the pub back from the gutter.

It's great to see some of the old regulars coming back in. The locals will always support a good landlord. They've got a big job ahead to get it back to the great family pub it was.

Would like to retract previous statement - said landlord (albeit they were only managers) are being kicked out from said pub and have been given their notice.

Food went downhill rapidly, (only lasted 2 to 3 weeks)
Cleanliness shocking,
Landlord's grandchildren running amok with no proper control,
Openly bypassing Enterprise and purchasing large quantities of alcohol from local supermarkets to sell off in the pub,
and........ to top it off last night's incidents.

Not even going to start on the barring of people just for the sake of it.

Any regulars that came back have now left again plus even more. Although since it has become public knowledge that they are leaving (big board outside pub) it has been a little busier.

Please please please can we have someone in who is experienced in running a good pub.

The right experienced friendly and clean person who wants to run a pub will make it a huge success

This is the one pub in Stafford that has never appealed to me, having tried it a few times. Never felt welcome, never been impressed with its ambience. Mind you the same could be said for the whole retail area there. Always looking like it needs a damn good clean up. Perhaps we should get Morrisons to take it all over :P

I've only been on the Parkside estate a handful of times. The pub and shops have never appealed to me. I can't see that changing any time soon.

OK, so I went there tonight for the third time in my life, to see the inestimable Melvin Hancox play an early evening one-man set.

He was as good as he always is.

The Guinness is not the best in Stafford.

Short-cuts across the Common in the current swampy conditions may not be a good choice for everyone.

It was like the Somme, but, luckily, without the machine guns.

Some of the Hallowe'en costumes were remarkably good.
