Benches in the Market Square... where the hell have they gone? Which bright spark decided to take them away?

Normal practice in such events. Has been for years just as it is in Stoke Leek and Buxton, other areas I end up frequently.

They've been removed to stop people sitting on them. The council don't want claims from unsuspecting people sitting on them & then getting injured by the tumbleweed blowing down the deserted high street on a Saturday mid-afternoon.

Reckon i'd only just be coming in about now - running is very much not my forte. Can turn the legs over on a bicycle until the proverbial cows are domiciled, but run i can not.
