Sorry to hear about your loss, always tragic when you loose a pet. I offer my heartfelt condolences, we had a spate of loosing pet cats and it was aweful. Some people are idiots, why are they setting off fireworks at this time of year ?Our Beloved Cat Tommy died yesterday after running in front of a car after being scared by fireworks.

Oh no! so sorry @littleme I wish they would ban the public use of fireworks and leave them to the experts for display only, then people would have the chance to keep their pets inside.

Thanks everyone for the good wishes - its so very sad as he was the sensible (favourite, & I know you shouldn't have favourites) cat, his sister Sophie is constantly getting injured......
@Withnail - I know the feeling - I really couldn't stand cats until one boxing day this bedraggled balding grey old thing turned up on the doorstep (Smokey Cat) & moved himself into my house....next thing you know you've turned into the mad cat lady of the street.....

Biopsy results came back clear, my lip was merely full of cysts! I do now have a dead spot which likes to gather food I can't feel, but it's better than my lip bursting every few mealtimes and adding special sauce to my dinner.

Just spent 3 hrs working out the settings for my camera with a macro setup and slave flash, now I can photograph anything at about 3 to 5 inches away with perfect illumination, now I just need a few subjects about 2 inches high, I'm thinking snails, slugs, the dog's eyeball, fungi.

I was going to go in the garden and have a winter tidy up today, I had my old clothes and trainers ready to put on and then I sat down and though I’ll just have a look on the forum whilst I have tea and toast - never got to the garden and it's going dark now, try again next weekend.
