I know of at least 5 who used to frequent this establishment, they now rock up at Revolution for the evening.

One place I find that one every occasion I have been in, I've been let down.....the feel of the place is too clinical, not welcoming and I tend to find the staff behind the bar (and through no fault of their own) do not have a clue!

I asked what beers / ales they had as the taps were not working (again) so I ask what bottles beers they had.....I was met with a complete blank expression.....

News of the Shrew's refurb is most definitely welcomed. :)

No kids allowed, so it'll be one we visit when we don't have the young 'un, but we can cope with that.

I frequent the Lych gate tavern in Wolverhampton on match days, they kitted the pub out to quite a high spec and has a good pub atmosphere and is well run & friendly. Their own beers BFG and pig on the wall are very quaffable!
So you'll be giving the SA a try i'm sure.

Gonna try, a planned visit on the opening evening has been thwarted.
I shall visit within a week, that's for sure.
