What are we watching on TV?

"Road to Perdition" on Sony.

I have to say I'm a bit disappointed. Not one laugh and no sign of Bob Hope, Bing Crosby or Dorothy Larmour.

I have to say that I'm really rather enjoying "The Halcyon".

It's filling the void left behind by Downtown and Mr Selfridge.

Two episodes in but great stuff so far.

They had a compilation of the 2 Sammy Davis Jnr shows he did for the BBC in the 60s on BBC4 a few nights ago.... Absolute class (coming from a 42yr old)...

Just finished watching BBC's Spy in the Wild. Normally not my thing but the footage was amazing along with the excellent narrative.

Finished watching The Man in the High Castle season 2 the other day....

If you have Amazon Prime, I'd highly recommend it....take a bit to get going, but it really is decent.

I've been watching The Trump(man) Show.

The way he's been sucking up to Putin whilst simultaneously challenging the CIA, I thought an agent might have accidentally-on-purpose let a 'patsy' through the barriers (together with a Carcano disguised as a pack of curtain rods).

Homeland starts again on channel 4, 9pm tonight. Will help me through Sunday evenings until Poldark returns :)

Oooh, and I watched 'Spotlight' last might, absolutely recommended, based on a true story about the endemic child abuse in the Catholic Church and how the Boston Globe newspaper exposed how systemic it was. Serious, but informative.

I really want to watch this and it's so frustrating when things are only on Amazon or Netflix. I already pay for the TV licence and Virgin TV. Find it hard to justify even more money per month on watching the box, especially given how few things on the subscription web sites I'd actually watch.
