Just to give you an update. Worse case scenario 129 redundancys across various departments. Consultation will be extended for another 45 days probably as well

The fact you stated it would be a Dhl run habitat warehouse is wrong will be a different company altogether.

From my understanding, under the proposal, the warehouse will still be operated by DHL. Habitat however will use a new 3rd party delivery company to deliver their larger (2 man) items whilst smaller items will continue to be through the Yodel network. Habitat however are unlikely to occupy the entire warehouse space so Argos would continue to utilise somehow.

Yes my original statement was incorrect.
Hopefully Sainsbury's Argos have a plan to utilise the rest of the space, that may save some more jobs in the warehouse

It also affects higher than FLM's. Team leaders are grouped in with normal warehouse staff
I thought they would only have 1 general manager, 1 warehouse manager and then a first line manager each dept. Wonder how long a process it will be? I'd imagine they would be sorting out a redundancy package for each member of Staff, then hope they get enough volunteers.

If its anything like when I worked there the 'package' will be minimum mandatory payments and told to **** off, can't imagine them paying out more than they have to. Maybe let them off with a few weeks payment in lieu of notice as a sweetener if they leave quietly.

Statutory payment, 12wks pay and an ex gratia payment dependent on length of service to a maximum of 24wks pay for 15+ service. I think there were 3 or 4 bands below this

I've heard that no one will be made redundant now. Dhl must be hoping people just leave over the next 6 months so they don't have to pay them off.
