Out of interest, can I ask what kind of market research was done for this? It seems from the few answers here that people generally wouldn't consider using the service, and, looking at the Web site, I wouldn't either.

The site doesn't make it very clear what's going on, and the domain name doesn't really indicate the service offered either. When I saw "clickstafford.co.uk" I immediately assumed it would be some kind of Web guide to services, activities etc in Stafford.

I'm not trying to be negative for the sake of it, and I hope the kind of feedback on here is taken seriously. To me, it seems like a good idea which hasn't been executed very well. Often with this type of thing, if it can't be done well it's best left alone.

Still, I know forumites in general like to see local, genuine business ventures do well, so let's hope it takes off.

For the takeaways that don't deliver, I suppose its a good idea. However, most of us have already found ones that do deliver, that we like, which is where the problem lies.

Unfortunately, considering the lack of responses from the chap who posted the clickstafford thing, and the fact that it seems to have started focusing on ladies fashion (or whatever it is now), I don't reckon this is still going. I sincerely think there's a market out there for this idea in some form in Stafford, but why would you want to order something like this through a 3rd party when it's easy enough to get the wrong thing when you order yourself? I can sit in a restaurant for an hour, supping a few drinks and perusing the menu, and having changed my mind 50 times I can order the same thing I have each and every time. I decide what I want when I want it, not 24hrs beforehand. Am confused, and if i'm missing the immediately obvious...please tell me!

....just looked a bit further into the offerings of dinner2go...there have been many, many times in my life where i'd have happily chopped one of my arms off for fags and/or booze, and they deliver BOTH!

:pint: :smokeyjoe:

...do they deliver to Stafford??

I looked at the clickstafford thing, which had by then changed into a fashion site. Since then I have been getting regular spam in Japanese/Chinese. Is this a coincidence? Anyone else had this experience?

yeah, i reckon.. i can't think of a way that a website would extract your email address completely silently..

or do you mean you entered your email address on the site somewhere?

No I didn't enter my email address. Maybe I'm just paranoid about how Big Brother works.

Luckily I do not own a television*. I was afraid that I would be forced to watch it at work. So swapped shifts.

*Nor any form of TV reception equipment.
