The British Nazi Party have announced they are to target Stafford, Stone and Rugeley in the next European and County Council Elections. I believe that this is a excellent opportunity to demonstrate that the people of Stafford will not tolerate their hateful ****.
I am going to attempt to organise a LMHR event in Stafford, in November, but I need your support! I am interested in hearing from any musical performers (bands, solo artists, DJs, orchestras, choirs...) who would like to perform, and anyone who would like to get involved (post here or PM me). I also appreciate any comments or suggestions.
I would really like to involve local people of ethnic minorities (it is a sad thing that most of the contact I have with them is over the counter of a restaurant/take away!) - especially as the BNP have policies such as: "a system of voluntary resettlement whereby those immigrants who are legally here will be afforded the opportunity to return to their lands of ethnic origin assisted by a generous financial incentives both for individuals and for the countries in question" - essentially paying people to go to a country where they may not be safe or consider home (for example second or third generation immigrants, most of which, I imagine, consider themselves British and integrate fully) and paying countries to take them. They also "call for preference in the job market to be given to native Britons" which will result in perfectly capable Asians, Blacks and other ethnic groups being out of employment and ultimately forced out of the country (and this includes those whose families have been here generations and those of mixed race - and incidentally, they don't agree with mixed marriages).
They do not accept non-whites as members because their "purpose is to cater for the interests of the indigenous British population"... Is it just me, or should a political party cater for the interests of the whole British population? (Speaking as an indigenous Briton and Staffordian, I certainly do not want this party representing ME - and this raises the question, do I have the right to be a Staffordian - I mean, my dad is Scottish and my mum was born elsewhere in England, so technically I am a second generation immigrant - and oh my goodness! It's a mixed marriage: what an abomination!)
I don't even feel the need to go into why this statement from their website is wrong in so many ways: "homosexuality, which affects less than 2% of the population, is not the norm and that homosexual relationships do not produce offspring – essential to the survival of a people and a nation.We therefore believe in a policy of tolerance to all forms of adult sexuality, but homosexuality should not be promoted or encouraged. The BNP supports the traditional ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ attitude to homosexuality".
In summary, they are a bunch of bigoted *******s with out-of-date attitudes who need to be shown that they are not welcome in this town because we support a diverse, educated, tolerant society.
