Had a sneaky peek through thew windows over the weekend, they've gone for a lime green on a wall in the gym, looks like they're waiting on the equipment and then they're almost there!

I so hope they use the space better than it was being used before, the gym i mean.

Looks like it's being set-up to use the space well, from what i could see.
I'm going to miss being at the Riverside gym, it's got a nice feel about it, a bigger space OK but it feels right in there.
Saying that, i'll be signing up to use Beaconside, again.

£18.99 seems quite high as a "discounted" price given the price for the ones in town. How much does he Riverside gym cost?

Edit: oh, £36. Okay £18.99 ain't so bad. Being healthy is expensive...

It's not actually open open, it's open but not in an open to the public open.
Open yes, for you to have a mooch around and sign some direct debit form for membership, but not open open.
Open on the 28th.

Was shown around today gym was empty with a few images on the wall of what it will look like. Loose weights, rowing and running machines and FIVE resistance machines> I mentioned as i didnt use loose weights and alway used resitance machines that seemd to few considering it used to have twelve before it closed last year and folks would be sitting about waiting to get on them when it was busy/ Also you can only join by DD and you cant pay for blocks upfront like you used to and i declined to join as theres to many dodgy stories on the internet as regards gym memberships paid by direct debits/

I took it for granted that they'd be a number (bigger than 5!) of resistance machines and joined accordingly, upps, oh well, i can give it a few months and if it doesn't work out, then go back to Riverside.

I just cancelled my DD with Riverside in anticipation of going back to Beaconside.

So i was told each resistance machine does a variety of exercises hence they dont need as many. Downside is a user is going to stay on longer to do each one. Think this will upset a few members if they have to hang around a machine to get there turn. The images of what its going to look like pinned on the wall is only A4 size so you cant tell what sort of resistance machines are that they are supposed to be having.. It was also mentioned that there would be plenty of kettlebelss around if you couldnt get on one.

As mentioned before not much in the way of resistance machines

Dont think i will bother as its geared more to loose weights. Doesnt seem to have a matted area either for floor excercises.
