A friend is flying to France for few days in July and intends to leave their car at the airport - are there any tips / things you should know?

We've flown a few times from East Midlands and found all of the car parks there are walkable to the terminal.

We use a company called

www.holidayextras.co.uk

Once you've used them once they send you offers to get 15% off airport parking next time (at any airport).

You can view the map to see which car park is nearest. Obviously it gets cheaper the further away from the terminal it is.

Also the sooner you book, the cheaper it is. Leave it until a day or two before and the prices go up.

Full English breakfast at the caravan in the lay-by down the road, cheaper than a coffee and (dried out) croissant at the airport.

On site car parks booked direct via the airport website are cheaper the further in advance you can book. We usually use the premium(?) car park. It's a bit more expensive but is literally a minute's walk from departures entrance. The price sometimes includes free fast track tickets. The airport website has a map showing their parks etc. It's a great airport & is our number 1 choice. Piece of pi55 to get to as well.

Just want to reiterate that

www.holidayextras.co.uk.

Say they won't be beaten on price.

At first look they match the airport prices but once you've booked with them they offer you up to 15% off next time.

Honestly, it's worth a look.

I continually get offers from the airport with 15%off (sometimes 20%). The added free fast track on premium is a bonus too (up to 2 adults & 2 kids, all at £3 each). You also get a discount off the lounge price when booking premium. Do holidayextras offer the premium parking?

It sounds like they are comparable then.

Holiday Extras say they won't be beaten on price, it seeems they match the airport prices.
They do offer the premium parking...at exactly the same price as airport direct.

I don't know about the lounge... we have free worldwide airport lounge use anyway. So it's something we've never booked as an add on.
