Stafford shops opening - Turning into a boom town?

I would love an entertainer to come and stay.
Judging by the amount of work they're doing to the unit (fully gutting it), and the fact that I've been told the jobs advertised are permanent positions, I think it's having longer than a Christmas stint, well, hopefully.

Are they ever going to get the new Aldi up and running? They've taken all the windows out now and seem to be generally 'faffing'. Progress in this town sure moves at a snail's pace!

Which units in the guildhall is that?

If it stays that would be very welcome news for that end of town. Fat people shops, Poundland and low end jewellery shops are not going to entice the crowds it needs.

It's in what was Wallis - I'm certainly not large but a 14/16 means Yours have some very well proportioned clothes - I'm wearing my favourite jeans from there as we speak.

Very happy it's opened and excited to hear about other things opening in the guildhall, even if it's not the same story accross the town.

Yes they will but we knew that... Don't underestimate the work needed to get the space into the desired format which for Aldi is somewhat important I would imagine...

It will be nice to see that back in use if it comes off - first meal I ever ate in Stafford was in that Bella Italia, on drizzily Tuesday night in Feb in 2000 - before an open day at the uni.

I ate there on a fairly quiet evening with my parents once. Was a pretty poor Bella Italia compared to others I've been to - unwashed glasses with lipgloss still marking them, the most ridiculously small slice of cheesecake I've ever seen. Can't recall what else as it was during my first year.

I was unaware there was such a thing as a 'nice' Bella Italia. They've always been god-awful whenever I've had the misfortune of having to go to one.

We've never had bad food at a Bella Italia...ate twice at the Stafford one before it closed, service was a little ropey but the food was good.

I've only ever been to Bella Itallia once and that was in Stafford a couple of weeks before it closed. I thought the meal was okay. However, I've had much better at Vivere.

I'd love this unit to be taken over by Pastiche, however I suspect that is unlikely. I prefer proper restaurants to chain food outlets.

Comparing BP to Vivere is very unfair to Vivere.
