Leave or Remain?

See you say that, and then you say...

... without giving any kind of reasoning as to how, why, or when it will.

If you are so vehemently opposed to the EU, one would have expected more 'fleshing out' of your solution to your perceived problem. If you were so set against in '75, you've had 47 years man!

Have you thought of nought in the intervening?

Sorry to disappoint!

I quite enjoy Twitter, but anyway ....

I remember giving some thought to stuff we produce that no one else does, but it didn't go much further than Scotch whisky (I'm assuming that those that know this stuff will say that anything produced abroad is just a cheap imitation). I suppose the other things were good at is the IT stuff - games and CGI graphics.

There are good ones from abroad, but they aren't scotch so.....

As for IT, we do alright. The games industry is cutthroat though, and a lot of our talent heads abroad. One bad game can sink a studio, and the pay isn't amazing until you're a lead developer normally. I guess our tanking currency will benefit any business that doesn't need raw materials.

Not sure about that, but 50-1 are very tempting odds.
Gotta admit I'm tempted too, and I don't gamble. Especially with our future, as I don't have the luxury of retiring and leaving everyone else to sort out the mess while I have a safe pension income.

The bet doesn't seem to be available with Paddy Power. The closest I can see is :-

Theresa May to perform a Brexit U-turn in 2017 and announce that the UK will Remain in the EU ..... 50/1

Got talking to a Maltese guy today, he can't believe people his age want to deprive their children of the ability to freely travel and work abroad!

A little know fact is that you can join the Maltese equivalent of the National Trust for €20 and get reciprocal membership of the National trust in England, Scotland, Australia and Barbados. It’s a good saving compared with joining over here.

"Mr Davis, who is leading UK negotiations, said he was aiming for minimal disruption during a transition period, with the UK retaining existing arrangements on customs, financial services, aviation and migration from the EU and also having access to EU trade deals with countries like Canada and Japan."

So, a bit like being an EU member?

I would think that any sort of deal, agreed by both the UK government and the EU, is going to look a lot like being still in the EU. Anything else would be unpalatable to one side or the other.

If that is the case, then the only true leave option is the 'no deal' one.

In a Parliament made up mostly of Remainers, it will be certainly "interesting" to see how this one plays out.
