Am I right in thinking Supercuts doesn't operate an appointments system? Doesn't exactly fill one with confidence.

No, they are a national chain that trade on that as a selling point.

I remember using them in Cardiff a long time ago, without any issue, but I imagine they have all manner of targets to hit and no need to cultivate repeat custom.

Heard a few stories like that - not sure if they were all Supercuts though. One friend got a buzz cut when he didn’t want anything close, the other a short back and sides when he just wanted a quick trim.

Both equally pissed
Takes me back to a conversation me and my mates had with a old college lecturer 24 odd years ago about hairdressers...

Lecturer - "I don;t know what the fuss is with barbers....I go to Les and he does me for a fiver"
Me and mates "Does he cut your hair after that ?"

Reminds me of another one...

Man goes into the barbers and says "cut my hair so it's like Rod Stewart's"

Snip snip snip snip, 30 mins later the man says " you've given me a short back and sides. Rod Stewart doesn't have his hair cut like that"

Barber says "well he would if he came here"

Aaah .... the old Lionel Blair advert. (It's the look on his face at the end.)

Hiya

I use Supercuts. Not needing an appointment is a major plus point! Queue up and wait. If the queue is too long them I put it off to another day.

No complaints about what they have done

I have never asked my wife how much her haircut/highlights cost as I imagine I would be saying "How Much!!"
It pains me to pay over a tenner for a haircut and normally go to one of the barbers over Rugeley who charge around £8. Saying that I tried the Barber in the Market a couple of weeks ago. He was very thorough and charged £8.50.

I can highly recommend Patricks on Wolverhampton Road (by the Star & Garter). I used to pay nearly £50 for a cut at Francesco's and was never totally satisfied. Hayley at Patricks charges half that and always does a wonderful job. It's between £40 and £60 for a colour, depending on what you have done, and again she does a fab job.

It literally just feel like the bots in charge have went feck it, n just asked potential renters what they're willing to pay and just accepted it to fill the premises so it doesn't look like a joke.

But that's all good, but when's their refurb starting ? , these shops that are opening are investing money themselves to set up etc.

Where's the new led lights / food court / not making the college entrance (where mk one used to be / waterstones) look like such a dump changing ?

How long in days ( or is it hours ) can people go without feeling the need to shop?

Apart from milk or vehicle fuel

Hi Andy, that's my husband in the market. Glad you were pleased with your cut. I'll pass on the feedback!
