Philistines.

In search of the Hush Puppied one's intervention on the current bollox, and drawing a blank thereof, one was drawn toward his full contribution toward the first reading.

Apart from Howe's resignation, one cannot remember a better utterance issuing forth from the House than this one.

We appear to be losing our heads.

Lefroy also in the Daily Mail, insisting his scrutiny of the bill is looking after the interests of his constituents. Do you think his nose looks a little longer?

Why not make binary referendum unlawful and back date it a few years

People seem dumb enough in general, to obey laws set by a small number of people they say they despise, so I can't see a problem with the nation continuing in this way if it happened

We've had two votes already ...
Ah, but in '75 people were only voting for an economic union NOT a political union...

Harold Wilson said:
But whatever the economic arguments, the House will realise that, as I have repeatedly made clear, the Government’s purpose derives, above all, from our recognition that Europe is now faced with the opportunity of a great move forward in political unity and that we can and indeed must — play our full part in it.

Edward Heath said:
The community which we are joining is far more than a common market. It is a community in the true sense of that term. It is concerned not only with the establishment of free trade, economic and monetary union and other major economic issues, important though these are — but also as the Paris Summit Meeting has demonstrated, with social issues which affect us all — environmental questions, working conditions in industry, consumer protection, aid to development areas and vocational training

THE RIGHT TO RULE OURSELVES
The fundamental question is whether or not we remain free to rule ourselves in our own way...

"Taking back control" is all very well, but that control will be in the hands of incompetent, self-serving spivs, over whom there will be no control.

QT was interesting tonight, as it almost invariably is, in most part for the 'applause-o-meter' sort of thingamybob whatjamacallit.

The general sentiment, in what could probably be reasonably called a pro-Brexit crowd (it was in Newcastle), was 'our Parliamentarians are a shower of shite'.

Which is probably an accurate assessment of the situation. And you can't spell 'assessment' without spelling 'asses'.

Tim Farron was one on the panel - which was funny for a reason that wouldn't translate well.

I have had quite an interesting weekend - i'm only just coming to terms with it.

I'm either quite slow on the uptake, or...

Actually it's more likely that i'm just slow on the uptake.
