B12 is required in very small quantities, slightly more than none is enough, and most people will have months, or years, stored up. There are those who believe that you can get enough from bacteria, if you aren't too scrupulous with the cleaning regimes. Some converts can find themselves caught out, if they are using their stores whilst they settle into the new regime and feel that everything is OK, then start to run short as the supplies aren't topped up.

I take B12 also.
As for Soy milk, that was my go to milk alternative when i first started out, now i've since found it ain't the best thing to put in your body in large quantities (by large i mean in the same quantity i was; cow's milk), but the variety out there is immense and it's great trying to find the few that are worthy of a dribble over my cereal and in my coffee, each morning.
I can't get enough of Almond milk and Cashew milk.

Sounds like you're pretty fit to me (rumours aside, ha) and you'll find that a number of athletes are vegan, so we're in a nice comfy boat, if you ask me.
It's usually the brain dead fat gymaphobe meat heads that say going vegan's not good for you, bless em.

Where'd you get your B12 @Mikinton

Get my soya milk from Aldi & Asda both less than 60p a litre. Yep your right about fitness types, hear that one of the top MMA fighters is a vegan, my eldest son told me, so it must be true!!!! Got my B12 from Holland and Barratt purely for convenience as I was in town, was 100 for just over £4 quid from memory, but will look on-line next time as sure they are probably cheaper.

But according to Gram* I am getting enough from the pretty large amount of Soya milk I consume! And I have no reason to mistrust him and I have over a years supply of tablets anyway!

Some people won't like it, but Marmite or other yeast extracts are a good source of B12. Foliate (B9) deficiency is also involved in anaemia and the other effects of B12 deficiency but foliate is abundant in green vegetables such as broccoli, sprouts & peas.

FDA suggests that 2.4 micrograms is all that's necessary per day. As I said, slightly more than none at all.

Fortunately LOVE IT, when was based in Burton, Fire Station used to have a relationship with Bass Brewery, they used to fund a pump in days gone by, and as Marmite is brewers yeast, we used to get access to Marmite via the factory shop. As long as we didn't take the Mick, we used to get enough for Station use. Michael was taken, gift abused, it turned up at boot sales, and access removed! :( I Eat loads of yeast extract, so getting plenty! :) don't buy Marmite use super markets own brand, Saintsbury even do a reduced salt version!

I don't like it myself, but my daughter does, and as she's got a habit of moving flat frequently (because of her work), we end up with half used jars of the stuff. We've got rid of them now, but there is a jar of Vegemite currently in use, and probably another lurking somewhere.

I hadn't had a Pizza Hut pizza for good while, anyway i have done and opted for their veggie pizza (with vegan cheese obvs*) and it was nice!

As I have revealed I have only become a vegan relatively recently, so any info' is very welcome I knew Pizza Express has a Vegan Pizza option, so now knowing I have another big chain place to eat gives me, as a Pizza Lover a big smile on my face at the prospect of a swelling belly! :)

Had the vegan Morrisey burger recently, it was a triumph!

The menu (now) states that there's a vegan option and that's great. Makes for an easy life, an easy vegan life.
I hope there's enough call for the Morrisey, to warrant another* on the menu.

*perhaps the Summer of '69 burger (Brian Adams' been a vegan for yonks) or the Fall Out Burger, the drummer of Fall out Boy is in our gang
...i could think of more if the push came to shove.

Well, glad i got the opportunity to taste their food before the dispute.

Let's now hope they find a place in Stafford!
Unfortunately, didn't sound like they'd reopen anytime soon

Chico's facebook page said:
Today is a very sad day for everyone who loves Chicos, I'm devastated to have to tell you that we have closed down. After 8 wonderful years & nearly 5 years of my life we have been left with little choice but to vacate our premises at the Crown Hotel. I'm not going to go into details because we're better than that. This will be my last post for Chicos as my health won't allow me to continue with them, but I'm sure as & when they reemerge you will all get to find out here. I'd just like to say thank you to all our wonderful customers over the years who have loved Chicos as much as I have, you helped make it the amazing place it was.
For the last time Muchas Gracias Jimmy
