If your building work (eek!) involves an electrician, he might be able to provide you with some empty reels on which to wind the lights when they are removed - it'll make next year a bit easier..The other two and a half hours were spent untangling the lights.

Once the festive season is over, just do this and store away until the following Christmas. It'll give you more time to enjoy your 25% discounted drinks this year and any subsequent years. If your building work (eek!) involves an electrician, he might be able to provide you with some empty reels on which to wind the lights when they are removed - it'll make next year a bit easier..
I was relieved to find I'd put my little christmas tree back in it's box complete with decs and lights still on. My big tree is stored in 2 halves though, so pity I can't do the same with that. Did come in useful wrapping it upfor storage in the windscreen cover that I'd never used for years. Forgot it was wrapped in that until I took it out.Once the festive season is over, just do this and store away until the following Christmas. Just found out sons christmas eve schedule ....looks like I'll be seeing on his rounds as I go to fetch him.
I tried mulled cider for the first time last week in Worcester christmas market. Tasted horrible, but then their cold still and sparkling versions of the same stuff (Barbourne local cider ) didn't get me buying any eitherJust by accident I seem to have stumbled on a cure for my Xmas cold (or is it Manchester flu after Sunday?)......mulled cider.
Can't really taste it much but it's clearing my nose and head (well at least for the time being).
I shall have to sample a couple more purely for medicinal purposes of course.
