Car DAB Aerial

Happy New Year

Has anybody ever fitted a glass mounted aerial for a DAB radio in a car? All the videos I have watched make it look easy. The stumbling block I have is my Peugeot 308 has an airbag on the A pillar (trim) and I am reluctant to try and remove.

Thanks in advance.

I have asked this sort of question before - i.e., whether the 'special' aerial is actually necessary.

I would be tempted to try the radio with the existing aerial and see what happens.

I recently bought a DAB/FM radio which only had a single aerial socket and both systems seem to work perfectly adequately from the one aerial - a cheapo 'tape' one in that case.

Would do that but the DAB bit in the car plugs in to the cigarette lighter and is transmitted through an empty FM frequency. Know it isn't the best option but only spent £25 rather than £100 on a new unit.

Our relatively new car (Ford B-Max) has a DAB fitted as standard but even then some of the lesser radio stations constantly come in and out of signal (Especially Fun Kids)... To cure that we steam the station online using a Bluetooth/FM transmitter...
