That's the website anyway.

http://farmhousepizzeria.co.uk

Their pizzas go up to twenty inches though, which is I think, the biggest in town we've had.

But, I dunno, I can be funny / disappointed with new places so I'll see how the reviews go before ordering anything.

Has anyone mentioned the work being done on the shop next to Oxfam? Think it used to be a sweet shop? No idea what it's going to be though.

Unit D, Hunter's Row, Stafford, has been let to Danshell Healthcare Limited

Danshell supports people who need extra care and support.

  • People with a learning disability who have complex needs
  • People with autism

The Royal Tandoori /Balti has closed and been replaced by Farmhouse pizzeria.

We drove past this the other day, and couldn't remember if it had replaced an indian or a chinese - always good to see places refreshed and it looks like there's a good range of veggie pizzas (@Goldilox is still lamenting the loss of the Firenza pizza from A Taste of Romance)

Considering all the money put into Riverside and Staffordshire Place, it’s a shame one of the ugliest buildings in Stafford is right next to them...

Are there any plans for the Civic Centre, or is it just going to sit there looking uglier as the years go by?

I have seen plans for the civic centre which show a new entrance opposite staffs cc and the groundfloor units renovated / reconfigured.

Whilst you can't polish a turd, the plans are a huge improvement. No idea of the latest situation with the plans.

Aren't those plans about 8 years old yet nothing ever happened ?

My local agents are of the opinion that it might still be there, but they have never been customers and have paid little attention to it..

An attempt to get them to pop out in their slippers for a quick look did not seem to provoke a positive response, but I have just had a statement that it is still there.....

Guildhall Gallery is back on the 3rd February - in the shop in between Yours & The Works, rather than the old Top Shop.

Those plans were around when I still had my shop, that's why they ended the leases. That was around 8 years ago now?

(Saving you all from the horror that is the Sentinel Website)

A PAIR of market stall-holders have decided to team up to open a store in Stafford town centre.

La Bolsa and Discounts and Deals are taking on a unit in Princes Street, which will open on Saturday.

Both businesses will operate from the site, with La Bolsa continuing to sell its handbags and accessories in one half and Discounts and Deals selling household goods, tools and pet products in the other.

The two have been in Stafford Market for some time and wanted to expand.

But La Bolsa owners Kevin and Rose Thomas and Discounts and Deals bosses Derek Hodgkiss and David Plant were concerned about the costs of taking on extra stalls.

Instead they decided to join forces and open a shop, which means they can split the costs involved and concentrate on making their businesses a success.

Kevin said: “We have been in the market for three years and had begun looking for a shop for La Bolsa so we could expand but we were struggling to find the right sized unit in the town.

“But then we decided to join with Discounts and Deals as they were looking to expand as well. It seemed to be the best of both worlds.

“I think more and more businesses are having to look at doing things differently now.”

The deputy mayor of Stafford Borough is to help launch the shop on Saturday at 11am.

Kevin added: “Both businesses have built up a following and we hope our regulars will follow us here and that we also gain some new customers.

“I think we will be quite different in that we’re offering. It’s quite an exciting time.”
