Howdens Stafford Kitchens

Just wanted everyone in the Stafford area know that we had several quotes from Howdens in Stafford in budget, suddenly Dan from Howdens rang up to ask for£3000:
more because of his poor planning and a builder had under estimated on the quote for the flooring. I raised this with the manager from Howdens who let slip in the phone call that they do this on all quotes on their kitchens if the builder has under estimated on the build elsewhere. Not believing what I had just heard I asked if that was right? He admitted they do it with all quotes to help the builder out.
Told Howdens head office who were useless!!!!
They tried to say they can charge what they like as we are not the customer, their customer is the builder!
Please be aware of Howdens because if they hadn't been up to anything why has the manager just left???? He just walked out of his job...very strange.
There's obviously more to this than meets the eye.

Oh and the builders name , GEO MARK JACKSON.

Howdens use Geo Build, noted.

Though, @Admin can we get a merger into the main Geo Build thread?

The manager from Howdens for escorted off the premises via their own Internal security the other week pending a police investigation.

Also in regards to the builder I have an inkling where that figure has also come from

Used same - tried to charge us for storage of the kitchen when we ordered it, in the warehouse plus the measurements were totally inaccurate, various pieces missing and not to the plan - not a good experience

Incase anyone contemplates getting a Howden kitchen DON'T BOTHER!!!!!! From my old job and speaking to their customers it takes an eternity to arrive, and when it does turn up bits are always missing............definitely one for the cuffy customer service thread

Depends what sort of kitchen you are after there is a few very good fitters/showrooms but all budget dependent. In my experience don' buy an Ikea kitchen ad you have no service ducting at the back. There is good showroom in gnosall who does handmade units, not the cheapest and that is called regent house, I think it is a husband and wife team - Steve and Carol brough
