Oh yeah, those ones are one-and-done when it comes to water. You could possibly reduce the grass in the pool by putting down the jigsaw floor mats. Best place to buy them is B&Q or Halfords for black ones (you may want some colourful ones around the edge as the black ones get hot). This’ll not only mean there’s something to step on between grass and pool but if you put them underneath too it softens the bottom of the pool and means less mess after because the pool wasn’t on the lawn (and thus not getting muddy/grassy)

Enjoying a drop of red.
I've lived through a few hosepipe bans.

They are a phenomenon very like that of Props, for those who remember that - I went in many times, but I never came back out.

Has anybody ever heard the end of a hosepipe ban announced?
Went into Props one time, on a Monday evening if I remember rightly, and had a pint of snakebite. I remember NOTHING after that.

I'm told that my best mate drove me home and that I sat in the lounge talking rubbish to my parents before vomiting profusely, everywhere, for about half an hour.

Lesson learned. Never did go to Props again.

I'm mindful for the need to conserve energy, water and the likes but my allotment needs water - I have fruit trees and veg growing that will not survive without water. I'm growing pumpkins this year for my grand children's Halloween and pumpkin pie for us with the scooped out mush

I decided a few weeks ago to start offering lawn cutting services again locally, especially as work is so quiet. However, not a wise decision as most peoples lawns have now been killed off to the point where we'd need a good few weeks of rain for them to even remotely start growing again.
I've also just ordered a hot tub with the intention of doing hot tub hire again...... in hindsight another silly decision!!

JUST F***IN' RAIN DAMMIT!!
