I also am not much of a cinema-goer, but I do find this programme - Sound of Cinema - strangely interesting.Mark Kermode's Secrets of the Cinema
Even though I've not been to the cinema for years, I'm a sucker for programmes about movies ..... and why not.
Limmy - Girls
Thanks for that, @Studio Tan . I watched it last night and it was very good. I'm old enough to remember the name Freddie Mills, but nothing else except that he was a boxer. And good to see all that 60s footage, especially a young Bruce Forsyth at the funeral. There was a fascinating documentary on BBC4 (tv) a couple of days ago about the career and suspicious death of boxer and tv personality Freddie Mills. It was quite moving and recalls the period (40’s - 60’s) very well and finishes with a bombshell revelation. It may be of interest if you’re too young to know who he was - but if you do remember him I urge you to watch it.
