I wonder if this thread should soon be moving into Pubs and Eating Out..?

I wish more businesses would put work into the outside of their buildings. You look a few doors down at Royal Tabdoori and Bamboo and get a good idea of what “not giving a toss” results in. Doesn’t make me want to buy from those two that’s for sure.

Lights were on today - in fact, they were on last night, but there was no sign of any occupants.

I see that this thread has been moved to Pubs and Eating Out.

I was planning on going here on Friday with friends, rang to book a week or so before hand to be told they don't do bookings its walk-in only, rang on the evening to confirm if they served alcohol or it was bring your own, to be told they don't permit alcohol on the premises. Ended up going elsewhere

Still wanted to try their food so ordered a takeaway on Sunday, went to pick it up and it's cash only, no cards

Cash only, no bookings and no alcohol. Interesting business plan in Stafford...hope it works for them

We tried it out a couple of weeks ago. We enjoyed the Burritos & everything else leaving the kitchen looked pretty good too. They are obviously marketing themselves as a family joint/alternative to Nando’s.

Enjoying a drop of red.
The lack of alcohol is probably down to religious reasons (also turkey bacon listed on the burger part of the menu etc.). Doesn’t appear to be doing them any harm though, the place was rammed while we were there (including people coming in for carry-outs). The staff are also some of the friendliest I have come across in Stafford, service was great.
Are they dab hands with a microwave?

Just for the record, it costs about £35 to accept card these days.

In a day and age where a considerable amount of people don't carry cash, using cards and their phones for most transactions, it's a cost most would say is essential

They've also got to consider where the nearest cash point is for people that don't realise before ordering. Is there one at the petrol station across the road or would people have to walk into town?

I think the one at the petrol station has charges

I went in yesterday had a lovely meal, everyone left feeling sated.
It's still cash only at the moment, but they are in the middle of resolving that apparently.

Thanks for the tip about cash only, had no idea. Always worry about using a place with no card option incase I spend too much and am left short.
