Indoor barbecue last night.
Reinforced my argument for a full length glass roofed awning / shelter type construction on the rear of the house .

Do you think episodes like these help us to differentiate between the concepts of 'weather' and 'climate'?

Or are we entirely banjaxed?

The Chinese are to put down a rover on the far side of the Moon. This calls for a bit of jiggery pokery in terms of comms as to and from links will have to go via a dedicated satellite position out at the Lagrange Point.

I think they're going up near the Pole, perhaps searching for ice. Water on the Moon is literally a free supply of fuel somewhere off in the future.

A parcel that arrived today had the bottom two of this series of astronomically-themed stamps on it.

Yep same down here in Cornwall. Weeks of clear night skies, and then a rare astronomical event, and it's f****** raining for the first time in six weeks. If there is a god, he's got a sense of irony you must admit.
God: "Hey, you donna like too much of the Sun, I givva you summa rain … youa moan."
Me: "Go forth and multiply (or words to that effect.)"
