We’ve been watching Bodyguard, written by the fabulous Jed Mecurio, who incidentally grew up in Cannock.

Anyway, thoroughly enjoying Bodyguard, gripping stuff.

It's one of the few TV spin-off films that was actually quite good.

Maniac

A full series based on a Black Mirror premise.

Enjoyable but ultimately unfulfilling.

There was a time when fiction had a beginning, a middle, and an end.

It was called 'always'. It was ultimately what fiction was.

We now find ourselves in a spectral place where fiction has a beginning, a middle, a potential to be extended, a middle, a middle, a middle, a middle, a 'this shit won't fly no more' middle, one more middle, and an end.

This can be contracted, or extended, as long as it needs be.

One is tempted to argue that the collective concious has contracted accordingly. If you got all Jungian.

After watching Bodyguard which we thoroughly enjoyed and wondered how a series could be better, we are now totally gripped by this....

Killing Eve.

It’s a masterpiece

Watching an episode of Peep Show every few days, having picked up the first seven series in the Save the Children shop.

I only saw the odd one at the time, but it seems to be as good as I remembered.

A mix of Men Behaving Badly and The Inbetweeners...

At first I thought it was like a cross between The Avengers and John Le Carré, but it's really got quite dark. Incredible performances by Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh. The rest of the cast are perfectly positioned (Kim Bodnia who played Martin in the early series of The Bridge) and Fiona Shaw, exactly what the head of MI6 should be like.

Jodie Comer is drop dead gorgeous, but I don't think I'd want to meet her on a dark night …. :lorks:
