When these ladies did this song they titled it 'What's up' because they didn't want to get mixed up with Marvin Gaye's 'What's Going on.'

I gotta tell you Marvin this song pretty much blows yours right off the wall ….. :heyhey:
Sometimes one must take a stand, and say that Marvin knows for whom the wind blows

And it blows for thee

If you are seriously suggesting that 4 Non Blondes are greater than, let alone even equal to, Marvin Gaye - even in the arena of this particularly similarly monikered song - in any way, shape, or form, then so be it.

Whilst your walls may still be standing, they stand on foundations of wrong.

Rabbit hole

One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all
Go ask Alice
When she's ten feet tall

And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you're going to fall
Tell 'em a hookah smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call
Recall Alice
When she was just small

When men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go
And you've just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving low
Go ask Alice
I think she'll know

When logic and proportion
Have fallen sloppy dead
And the White Knight is talking backwards
And the Red Queen's "off with her head!"
Remember what the door knob said:
"FEED YOUR HEAD"

I never liked Punk music. I especially disliked their "we're original and rebelling against established music" claim using various slogans stolen from various revolutionaries. Well, they weren't that original … an example here from the Beatles magnificent White Album (in which they did a bewildering array of musical styles … oh, and pre-empted Punk by a margin in the process.)

Although I would never have agreed in principle with Senator John McCain's politics, there's no doubt he'd seen some stuff and been through much. He seemed to have been an honourable man, much respected even by his opponents.
Sadly we see the current limpdick that calls himself President behaving far far far from honourably. Honour is a word not in his vocabulary.
Politicians eh ? … and the current crop surely means we're getting to the bottom of the barrel. (I f****** hope so, how could it be worse ?)

I think Bonnie Tyler summed this situation up years ago …..

Matched to this video it's easy to see how this could have been a theme tune for it, pure ACDaC. I know there's a bit of Hollywood in it, but can you imagine tooling around the sky in one of those things ? … that's definitely a candidate for a good bucket list, (probably put you in the bucket, but it would be a hell of a way to go … :heyhey:)
There's a jet fighter in every rock band.

Strangely, this was next up after that^.

Gary Numan might be a dick of the first order, but he is, one would contend, massively overlooked in the history of 'electronic' music, and the subsequent music culture that ensued.

Cars for example, is obviously hugely influential in moving musical taste, so why is he not lauded more?
