I need to go into town more, I thought this was still in the planning stages, and yes I have been in the picturehouse and not noticed it before.

In case it's not been mentioned meerkat movies will get you 2 for 1 tickets on Tuesday and Wednesday's. If you need a cheap way to get it let me know, usually can be had for a quid or so.

Took the family tonight and have to say I was impressed! Great screen (iSense) and really comfy seats! Food and drink looks on the expensive side but convenient. We just took our own snacks and they did the job! Lots of staff all doing a good job.

As others have said, something Stafford has needed for a long time and if you enjoy films on the big screen then it's great. 10% off the tickets if you book them online too.

In addition (I might be wrong) you can buy a v. Cheap insurance policy via compare the market for a couple of quid and get the years 241 cinema tickets access.

Yup, a one day UK travel insurance policy is usually best. Also gives you meerkat meals, so 2 for 1 at a few restaurants. Think it's just pizza express, Frankie and Benny's and possibly the island in Stafford.

I'm taking the little one to the Odeon Luxe tomorrow (the one in Telford) to see the new Pokemon movie as the Stafford one isn't showing it !!

Well just back from the Telford Odeon Luxe. I'm assuming the seating is the same as the new Stafford Odeon as Telford was refurbished a few months ago.

The seat reclines back fully via 2 buttons. Unfortunately fully back isn't comfortable to watch a film and whilst halfway is better to a point, for me (just under 6ft tall) the foot rest only extends to support your calves (not really a footrest!!).

Shorter people will love it mind, and with 1 mini table per seat there's plenty of space to stack up snacks etc.

Fully reclining seats would be an absolute godsend to parents forced to take their ickle spawn to some interminable crapfest of a PG movie against their will.

Catch some z's, wake up at lights up, and all the screaming, job done. Is this the thinking behind them? Because it is absolute genius if so.

I fully support that @Withnail, I have fallen asleep in every kids film I’ve been to see in the last 2 years. A reclining seat would be a dream come true!

We decided last minute to go and watch Nativity Rocks on Sunday, only to find that all the seats were fully booked. We ended up going to the "old" cinema - it was warm and cosy and to be honest, there's still something alluring about that place.
