Just read that our favourite forumite has been resting up in hospital after a very serious head injury in June.
Best Wishes and a speedy recovery x

Althouigh IIRC the hospital works on a white list system, so he won't even be able to read that if he pays their extortionate prices for net by the bed :(

There's a story in last nights E&S, his colleagues have raised £5,000 doing a sponsored 100 mile bike ride to Barmouth Fire Station, monies towards County Air Ambulance and Firefighters charity.
"Gon2seed was airlifted to hospital after being found unconscious and was initially on a life support machine" Seems he fell off a ladder at his home. He was out of hospital briefly to see his colleagues off on their epic journey.

thats super spooky.

i was thinking about mr seed on friday on the way home after work (i think it was prompted by the total emergency thing about sheffield) and thought i must remember to find this thread over the weekend and see if anybody knows how hes doing.

does the chronicle have any sort of online thing andy?

does anybody have an update on our friend seed, hows he doing?

Indeed, Gramaisc. I only just read the Newsletter this morning, and came here to post a similar notification! I wonder if poor old gon2seed even remembers this place?

Wow what an ordeal! I'm so glad he's made a recovery too, I can't imagine what he (and his family & friends) have been through in the last 16 months or so.

There isn't a blushing avatar/icon, shame cos' that's how I feel! Very humble.

To update you all, I am progressing at work, and doing the same route, (on my bike!) as the original folks did, in July. All being well, I will return on the bike the next day! There are a group of us, with mini-bus support. I am doing it for Stafford Headway this time , as they have had a big part in my life/recovery, and I have always felt a bit guilty, that I didn't include them, when I did the Staffs Way, on my second 'Anniversary'!
