Stafford shops closing - Turning into a ghost town?

Bit weird to make a new page for the same business too when you can just rename it.

Unless they’re going under a different franchise
The Stafford one has probably been sold to a different company and they can't use the name anymore.

Anyone know what is happening with Greenwoods?. Walked past there this afternoon & the place had been virtually cleared. No closing down signs etc. though.

Really?

Gone into liquidation now. No mention of it on their website though. It looks like the administrators ran the business to pay off the secured creditors (the owners) and have now decided to dump everyone else in the mire, including the staff who will now be paid redundancy by the government rather than the company. It seems that the Administrators have had £2,000,000 out of the business before finally deciding to pull the plug.

I'm somewhat concerned for Sweet. They appear to of re-opened, having removed a bit of their "booths" and seating and put in a sofa. From the outside one half of the unit looks empty compared to the side where the counter is.

None of the signage has changed to show it as "Cafe Sweet" as per their Facebook page and there doesn't appear to be anything explaining what they've done. If you're going to make a change, then at least do it right and communicate it to customers old and new (prospective).

I wasn't wrong. That is what the sign on the door said.

No you didn't. On 20th Dec it was posted on here first (by someone else) that it looked like sweet was gone, a number of posts followed. I posted on 22nd Dec that it was not closing down. I was aware of this due to having read the sign on 21st dec that was posted on the premises windows saying changes are happening and that they will closed over xmas but reopening after. The changes were evident with people working late painting, refurnishing etc.

Just for once, pull your head out of your arse and look at what was written and when. I actually agreed with you that it wasn't closing for good because of what was written on the sign.

You're either being deliberately argumentative or just a fckwit. Either way, piss off!
