so no deep fat fryers, so do they not serve chips? You cant have burgers without chips!
Johnathon isn't a fan of serving chips. He did at one point start serving them due to popular demand ... but the voices asking for them didn't reach into their pockets.

burgers, pizzas and burritos - since when have these constituted gourmet food?

When are Maccies and Pizza Hut going for their Michelin stars on this basis?

I do wish this guy well but he seems to have a deluded sense of business strategy.

Still keeps us amused I suppose :)

I also wondered this, Tacos & Burgers don't spring to mind when thinking of gourmet food, also, how will he get a Michelin star if he never OPENS?!

Top 16 Michelin starred burgers

Heck Tom Kerridge made his Michelin stars with traditional pub grub - that was his entire selling point as a brand. Michelin stars stopped been about French food a long while ago.

Not saying I think that Bank House is anywhere in the ballpark of getting one ... but I think it's good to have aspirations.

You do know there is an actual gourmet burger restaurant. The fact is that many high end restaurants including Gordom Ramsey have and do serve both burgers and / or pizza.

But of course it is only typical of Stafford folk or at least this forum for such a venture to be ridiculed, in many cases without any experience.

Yes, the guy may not always help himself, but there are very similar places in Leek and Stone that are praised for quality and different and SUPPORTED locally instead of just the norm.

Good luck to the guy

I think his burgers are excellent; if only he was open on the days and times I tend to frequent Stafford.

I suggest you research the term gourmet.

Not sure if this is the same as "actual gourmet" as you put it though.

And by the way we don't need to ridicule the venture as it speaks for itself as you seem to do as well.
