It was only a matter of time- that side of town is dead I heard that the whole lot including home bargains and Iceland was being changed into flats?Brighthouse is axing 30 stores & Stafford is one of those getting the ‘chop’.
The changing face of Britain’s high streets. Less retail, more living space & leisure. It was only a matter of time- that side of town ids dead I heard that the whole lot including home bargains and Iceland was being changed into flats?
I'l like to say I'm sorry for the jobs lost. But if you work for Brighthouse you don't deserve any sympathy having lived off the misery of others all these years. So good ridence to bad rubbish.Brighthouse is axing 30 stores & Stafford is one of those getting the ‘chop’.
You lie down with dogs.....You are going to get fleas....I'l like to say I'm sorry for the jobs lost. But if you work for Brighthouse you don't deserve any sympathy having lived off the misery of others all these years. So good ridence to bad rubbish.
There was a pigeon who used to sneak in when they weren't watching - it was quite amusing to watch them trying to usher him out.Brighthouse is the scum of all shops
Thankfully never see anyone in there getting ripped off.
Not a loss at all.

They have some decent television sets in the window. However, Bright House won't be a big loss to the town. Yes, that whole building now is a complete nonentity now, not that it ever served any useful purpose since being built.
Crying shane tbh, another building left to rotJust seen a post on Spotted Stafford -
The Stafford Cinema is closing down. We here at the cinema would like to thank every customer that has ever visited the cinema, whether you visited once a week, once a month, or just the once. We could not have made it this far without your support. We're sad to be going but thankful for the time we spent working at the cinema and seeing so many of you walk through our doors. Thank you all.
From all the staff at Stafford Cinema

I think that's highly unlikely. How many cinemas can a town the size of Stafford sustain?Crying shane tbh, another building left to rot
Shame they couldn't both continue to operate. Hopefully one of the smaller players will give it a go.
Four, at one time.I think that's highly unlikely. How many cinemas can a town the size of Stafford sustain?
It would be no surprise even if a shame. A bit odd as they have just page for new roofing and fixing issues with it.
They gave it a go and fair play, but I never understood their business plan. They came in stating they would have a different offer to what odeon would bring, yet that never happened and they went toe to toe showing the same films as a brand new luxury cinema, with claims there was enough custom for 2 cinemas.
If it is true that is a shame, cue hoards of people blaming the town, council etc etc, even though those folk swore they would not go that cinema.
As one cannot book a film on their website this look to be true, although no statement. Cannot find a facebook page except for prior incarnations of the cinema.
Not nowadays though.Four, at one time.
