"Couldn't pour piss from a shoe if the instructions were on the heel"

Is a saying

Why do consistently write incomprehensible nonsense. If you have an opinion on him then give it and back up with evidence /experience

The ignore button works wonders on this forum, cuts out plenty of the nonsensical gibberish which is spouted by a couple of the regulars which love to chime in and derail most threads on here..

There is a clear point here which Tilly is perfectly entitled to make, in exactly the same way that Kyoto is entitled to hold an opposite opinion.

Just because it isn't understood, by some, is no reason to get all sniffy over the ignore button.

True but one post of of barely relevant words in a hundred is perhaps luck rather than judgement.

Did I read the signs correctly, are they shutting the roundabout totally overnight for 10 nights in March? Judging by how well the signs on my road have been it will be absolutely carnage as the whole of the traffic in the north end ignores all the signs until they get to the roundabout to find it is indeed closed. Stafford drivers don't think advisory signs apply to them at all is my recent experience :(

Fun times ahead!

As much as I despise almost all other drivers, it is not unknown for signs to to left in place for considerable periods after the event has been concluded.

A year or two back, there was a Road Closed sign at the end of Corporation Street for several weeks after it had reopened, etc.

Highways confusing the enemy (the motorist).

Apparently the work is just new kerbstones and a resurface, so the same already overloaded junction will have to handle traffic for new housing and a convenience store.

According to a poster in a Marston Road building , Barry Manilow is due to play the New Bingley Hall in Stafford

But if you know it's infact open and it's 15 minutes quicker (can quite easily be the case at peak times). Decisions then need to be made.

Not if the road is CLOSED?? The signs that a road is closed are advisory, but you'd be advised to take note when they close the roundabout. That's is my point. Cos the roundabout will be fully closed.

I don't really know what u are referring to. I was talking about the roundabout at Lloyds

I think Mr Lloyd died about 30 years ago, maybe longer.

Young folk may know it as Bristol Street

The road isn't closed its fully open linking Eccleshall with stone Road.the Eccleshall Road between alliance Street and the roundabout is gridlocked at present because of the roadworks. Although. It can be annoying people use that road to avoid congestion and save time. They are doing nothing wrong. As soon as the works are complete traffic will return to normal.
