Great Pubs in Ireland?

When I claimed not to have any firearms, her next question was "Do you have any weapons?"

I said that I didn't have anything that I would designate primarily as a weapon, but, as Man Utd had lost to PSG a few hours before and there would be a few fans on the ferry with me, then, if she thought that it would be a wise precaution, I should be able to improvise something of a defensive nature.

My current pub is the fifth, the previous four having closed, mostly because the licencees died. The current one is, unusually, still known by the name of the previous licencee, and still has her details on the licence information over the door, even though she died twenty years ago - she was fairly fearsome and nobody has plucked up the courage to change it yet.

This one is probably just about OK to let tourists know about, but the previous four were certainly not for the fainthearted or those of a delicate nature.
