Can I suggest a dedicated What's On Events section
and don't forget there is the Upcoming Events box which is permanently displayed down the left-hand side of your screen, no matter what sub-forum you are reading, which shows (unsurprisingly) upcoming events :)
Just found it. Great idea and I love the Calendar. Just made a short cut directly to it. Top stuff chaps and chapesses ! Keep up the great work.

Brilliant. Had a superb night. All the acts were excellent, the venue was perfect, and it can be considered a resounding success! I particularly enjoyed A Child Rasputin, who is a one man band like no other. Amazing.

Huge thanks to Ash at the Castle Tavern for letting us rowdy beggars descend on his place for the after party, which was also brilliant. I've no idea what time it went on til, but that's surely the sign of a quality night!

Well done to everyone involved!

edit: Oh yeah....big up DJ Tom of Hobbins for providing twixt-band tunage, and after-party goodness too!

Me and hubby had a great night. Well done to all involved. Nice chatting to you Tori, sorry left you so soon but the magners did not agree with me. (Could have been the price).

BRILLIANT!!!

Please you join with me in congratulating everyone who worked so hard in making this event the success it was. I am not sure of exact numbers but there must have been very close to 100 people through the door, which is fantastic. It was an excellent night, enjoyed by all. Thanks to all who participated!

Would this be the appropriate time to say, "I told you so"? :P

I will find out exactly what happened with the Newsletter, I will also do my best to make sure that something goes in about how brilliant it was! On the positive side, no Nazis turned up (just some tw*t from Rugeley) so they might possibly have done us a slight favour there (but that's still no excuse to let them off for not putting it in). It will p!ss the BNP off no end to see how much everyone enjoyed themselves!

Absolutely brilliant evening, really enjoyed it. A Child Rasputin was fantastic, I have never seen anything like that before!

I took around 770 photos on Friday night so you'll all have to give me a day or two to sort through them and i'll upload a nice little web gallery.

Well done to all those who were involved with the night, and can I say I loved Sofa's loud jacket :D

If you could email me some of the good ones ASAP that would be great, going to send something to the Newsletter. You can send them to staffordlmhr@live.co.uk or I've PM'd you my personal one.

Speaking of the Newsletter - there's been a lot of entertainment going on recently, and the editor obviously decided that other things were more important. =( Not much we can do about it now, but if it doesn't get a mention at all I will not be happy!

Sure, will sift through them when i get home tonight and will send you some of the better ones. In all honesty I am still not all that good at shooting in that environment, so I would have though that out of 770 I'll be lucky to get 50 keepers, but thats the beauty of digital.

There were another couple of people with decent looking cameras there too, a Nikon D40 (like mine) and an EOS although i dunno which.

Excellent, I'll have to go and have a look! Either your wife or the photography student has taste when it comes to chosing a camera :buddy:

Which band were you in? If you want the originals of any photos (that offer goes out to all the members of all the bands) then just PM me.

Excellent! How did the night go, from your perspective as a performer, onekord? Are we allowed to have a look at the pictures, or is the Flickr group private? :)

Right I have gone through the photos, and despite there being a lot of gash ones there are a few I'm happy with. I will be passing the whole lot onto Sofa / Lunar Scorpion to do with what they please but for now I have made a small gallery for the forum which can be found here.

Enjoy!
