Has anyone else had basically no leaflets through except for Blue and Red? We're under Littleworth and despite having one of the larger candidate lists we've have nothing through from Green, Definitely Not Racist Party or the independent running.

Weird.

We've only had blue and red through , but that is all we have standing in our Wildwood ward.

Got to vote for the one I don't like , rather than the one I don't like even more.

Although even if we had more choice, I wouldn't like any of them either :D

We are part of Seighford & Church Eaton Parish and have only 3 candidates. 2 are Conservative and the other is Labour & Co-operative.
We have had zero leaflets or information through the letterbox and so I've researched them online. I find myself in the same position as @staffordjas, having to vote for the less of two evils.

I'm in Littleworth and had the independent leaflet through a couple of days ago but content was lacking to say the least

I'm in that ward too - I had my second Tory leaflet last night. We have had a leaflet from Labour too.

don't mention the blinds
Election communicado dropped thru' letterbox earlier, I saw the deliverer scurrying away pronto. No doubt afraid to confront my question on pedestrian priority at Newport rd station rd junction.

Well, they've either missed us out or maybe they will be there when I get home later.
Not sure if we are in the same area @Lucy - we are in Yarlet.

@Lucy you're right, there's quite a distance between us so maybe it was just too far for me to get my leaflets.

By the way, gerrymandering.......... great word :)

I do live in an area primarily inhabited by the elderly, so it's entirely possible that the road was dismissed as "most likely going to vote for the big two" perhaps.

Not to say that all of the elderly folk vote the same, it's just statistics really

I'm in little worth, I've had lab, con, ukip and independent. Nothing from the greens.

Don't forget some wards have two votes tomorrow

I look forward to voting out the representative who puts posturing above local issues

I had my local Labour candidate have the cojones to knock on my door to speak to me in person.

That sort of bravery deserves a medal in these trying times.

It is possible that we may have to look again at the level of deposit required, and percentage to retrieve it, if we wish to have something approaching a representative democracy.

But let us not forget that that is what we have, and is what we have always had. People seem to be going a bit mental recently because they have woken up in the world they have been living in for, like, forever, and thinking it's like a completely different *democracy* to the exact same one they've been living in for like exactly their entire lives but not quite noticing that it is so.

If politics is boring, it's because you have made it so. It used to be interesting because you were invested in it. Now you don't give a shit, and it shows...

Locals aren't particularly interesting in these parts - two Tories/two Reds, two votes - conservative (small 'c') area, both Tories (husband/wife combo) get elected, everybody yawns, scratches collective arse, gets on with it.

Now That's What I Call Activism.

Yeah I’ve noticed his Twitter is mostly spent talking about Labour being “hard left” and “anti Semitic” rather than local issues...

Does that not matter then?

Of course, except his failure to actually focus on local issues and instead just poo slinging doesn’t look good on him exactly. I’d hardly call labour “hard left” either

proactive

Enjoying a drop of red.
Well to say I'm unimpressed with the choice available in my ward would be a serious understatement. Red or blue, that's it. Neither seem remotely interested about the area they wish to represent, one doesn't even live in it. I'm not minded to vote for either of them.

It'll be the first election since 1983 where I've not voted. It's just so pointless and hopeless.

We have 2 blues and 2 reds and 2 votes.

Blues are husband and wife ...'speeches' more or less identical except for "I am married to her" , "I am married to him ". Live in our side of town but can't remember what bullsh1t they were promising , both leaflets went in the recycling after a quick glance.

2 reds if I remember rightly don't come from our area and got big plans for the people in their area . (That's if I read it right as I glanced at the leaflets quickly before they all went in the recycling )
