RIP Freddie Sandy

Really?

Well-Known Forumite

I think he can be proud of the legacy he created within the town and even prouder that his children continue to serve the town in his style. Whilst some people are jealous of the wealth the family have created they have contributed immensely to the local economy and given jobs to hundreds of people.

Duncan at the Soup Kitchen and Martin at the Grove are both astute, hard working business people who deserve the success they have created for themselves by building on the base their Father created.

...and I will also add that the Wimpy in MIlford is well worth the extra it costs !

Wow - I remember the Grove from my childhood - and I think meeting him. My parents sold him our climbing frame when we'd grown out of it if memory serves me right.

(The back entrance to Boots, those were the days)

It is Tim who runs The Grove.

Funeral was this morning with over 200 people in attendance.

50,000th poster!
I met him when we were carpeting the grove prior to it's opening , the carpet was at Stafford station, and he got a local coal man who was delivering to some one in the grove, to take his lorry to the station and collect it so we could start that day, a really nice man to work for and I always admired him, sad to see him gone.
