In non cycling news. Marston Road pretty congested due to cut through because of Lake Shell.

Radford Bank southbound lane blocked by an accident. Car with significant damage to front offside wing and wheel at an odd angle slewed right across the lane. There at 11am with traffic slow into town and stationary outbound, seemingly still there at 2.30 with traffic backed up to the White Lion gyratory.

Still there at 3.15. Struggling to understand why it's taking so long to clear one car.

Reportedly cleared now. Not sure what happened, fair bit damage to the car but couldn't see anything else involved.

May have cleared now but Stafford was pretty gridlocked this morning due to closure between 14 and 13 southbound. This was at 5.20 so check before leaving the house.

A wide load will head up the A34 from Stafford at 9:30am.
Staffordshire Police have advised : "This Friday, 28th June at 09:30 wide load will be moved out of Stafford. Usual route of A34, predominately via Stone, Newcastle and towards Congleton. Minor delays possible."

A question - does anyone know what the planned roadworks are along the A34 from Holmcroft Road towards town. There's a sign saying Roadworks will start imminently within the next 7 days - Delays Likely, by the Holmcroft/A34 crossroads. Are they going to resurface the road, cos there will certainly be long delays if done during the rush hour. There are quite a few chalk marks on the road.
