A question - does anyone know what the planned roadworks are along the A34 from Holmcroft Road towards town. There's a sign saying Roadworks will start imminently within the next 7 days - Delays Likely, by the Holmcroft/A34 crossroads. Are they going to resurface the road, cos there will certainly be long delays if done during the rush hour. There are quite a few chalk marks on the road.
Might a slight detour via Alliance Street be suitable to avoid the chaos?

It is currently closed off one way Northbound between the crossing by the Northern lights chippy & the crossing by Holmcrift Rd, they are using a separate set of lights to send traffic one way at a time, causing massive delays each way. Hopefully they will fill in the massive holes on North avenue while they are at it ..

Many thanks to the driver or driveress of the current shape white Kia Sportage pulling a G registration knackered old caravan, for pulling out on me from the un-named road at the Bednall Road, Teddesley Road junction about half an hour ago. I was only doing 35mph but I had been wondering if the abs on my bike was working, and if my leathers would hold a quantity of brown matter. Now I know the answer to both is yes.

Also, congratulations on pulling out in front of the Land Rover discovery at Brocton Crossroads and for demonstrating that it is perfectly possible to tow a caravan along the 30mph part of Sawpit Lane at speeds well in excess of 50mph.

I note that the speed limit in the 'urban' part of Norton Bridge dropped from 40 to 30 and the northern end of the 40 limit has extended a few hundred yards, over the railway bridge to the entrance of the Hospice warehouse.

3 way lights outside the old baswich house estate at moment causing big queues.

Don't know why it has to be 3 way when nothing is coming out of the partly built estate .

Queues right back down Radford bank to Radford pub at mo.

There are signs up saying Sandon Road will be 1 way from the 23rd July, not sure why or for how long though ...

Assuming they will make the one way be heading towards town as the alternative route will be Marston Road and Albert Terrace. Both one way.

We went past a couple of hours earlier, no lights but a sign saying "stop here until the green light shows" nothing else around. everyone was passing it.

Some of this sounds like the set for a Mad Max movie :teef: (Watch out for Mel Gibson, Tom Hardy and assorted nut jobs.) :strange:
