A bloke on a push bike, he parked it against the wall opposite here and started to cut the overhanging plants back. He only did a little bit, then chucked the bits back over the wall. He did similar on the troll bridge by Sainsburys other day. Attacked 1 of the trees then shoved it all back behind the metal barrier.
He does have quite a set of gardening tools attached to the bike n all.

I often see someone of that description trimming overgrowth on cycle paths - a bramble at head height can be quite exciting in the dark.

I did wonder if he was a bit disgruntled at the state of the verges etc. Sort of making a point to those that be, but not going so far as to destroy the hedgerows.

At this time of year when I walk the Tamar Lake toward the end of the week I usually carry a very large and sharp folding knife … and yes, I'm well aware that such thing is not acceptable these days. But the reason is I like to cut the brambles that are growing into the path. Especially those that grow out at head height .. (they usually use other plants as support to get to that height) … which I call 'eye rippers.'
I do this because on a Saturday morning the Park Runners run the lake, and unlike walkers, especially in weather like this, it would be easy to miss such brambles … with what could possibly be dire consequences. So I figure I'll risk being caught with a semi-fearsome weapon one day a week and hope I can explain my way out of any possible pinch with the truth.
It's not that I've any great love for Park Runners .. it's just I don't like brambles and I wouldn't want anybody to endure the horror of an eye rip.

I've see n him quite often, older bloke, I believe there was a post about him recently on Facebook, seems his wife helps out too sometimes. I've seen him recently on beaconside, on the lines, and a while ago on the bridge at queensville.
