When I just logged in, the advert at the top of the page was for a cruise to Amsterdam, Bruges and Guernsey at the end of this month.
Never noticed a cruise advert on here before and strangely Mrs T and I are already booked on this particular cruise.

I got an advert for Gladstone Brookes. Been checked, had no PPI.

Went to bed early last night to read for a bit.
After about 3 minutes of bliss, something appeared from the curtain.
It was one of our resident pipistrelle bats.

So because bats don’t like light, I put on every light in the vicinity and opened all the windows.
They usually do their sonar thing and find their way out.

Husband and I waited for about 10 minutes with the bat flying around.
This is country life, we didn’t “bat an eyelid”, excuse the pun.

Stupid bat couldn’t find its way out for ages, I just wanted to get back to my book.

Tempted to hit it with the fly swat but rules say “not allowed”.

Anyway all’s well that ends well (for the bats).

One of my favourite stories comes from the intertubes - it is entirely possible that it isn't true...

... but it is that there is an office in Australia where someone named Wayne Bruce was given the office name of...

... Manbat.

This is the kind of thing that i live for.

From the New Scientist a few weeks ago.
A Belgian MP wondered why the battery on his laptop kept running down, and suspected his children were using it (which they denied) but could not see how they could overcome the advanced security features.
It turned out they were using his election leaflet to satisfy the face recognition software.

I thought I'd get maybe £300 back, current total as of last week is 3k :D

Excellent

Your strategy to leave it until the last minute is the correct one because of the high annual interest payments on the original figure awarded

Banks are now shittingthemselves , seems they've underestimated their total liabilities

I'm sure we'll all pay it back to them in the long run

I wish I could get on this wave but I’m pretty sure I couldn’t even take out anything with PPI attached when it all went down

My oldest goes back 19 years, but most came from charges on an overdraft I had no idea covered PPI. Interestingly I was unable to claim against 2 loans from around 15 years ago because Barclays say they contacted me in 2013 to alert me to the fact I may feel it was missold, and I didn't reply in a timely manner so it is now too late.

Interestingly I got the same letter from Barclays at about the same time to which I did reply. The did pay me back some money on the condition I didn't pursue the matter further. I took it but often wonder if they were just performing some damage control.
