Well I'd swear blind I took this in the 80's, as I left Stafford in 1989. But I suppose I could have took it on a later visit. :embarrass:

Mmm, is that a Mk 3 Astra - 1991 on...?
XR3 (not the i, no rear wiper) nearest camera. The other one isn't an Astra with that rear quarter window.
Probably not XR3, didn't they have the poxy rubber spoiler? So maybe a boy racer add on.

Enjoying a drop of red.

The car next to the XR3 is deffo a MK3 Astra.

There aren't many people who still know the most obvious external difference between an XR3 and an XR3i so :bravo: to you.

I spent a fair bit of time in that pub as I lived about 200 yards away. I've been in it since it was metropolised but you can't sing in the bog anymore (best echo chamber in Stafford was the lounge bog there) and they've wiped all the blood stains off the wall. :heyhey:

And Dave Pemberton did a lovely pint of Ansells Draft Mild, all gone now. :pint: :quagmire:

Some of us are aware of a picture, taken inside that pub, and featuring @BobClay and the mother of a Forum member, whilst she was undertaking her part-time second job...

It couldn't have been me. I've got an alibi. I was in Maracaibo at the time. Or … I was playing poker with some mates. Or … I was volunteering my services to the Salvation Army. Or … I was working for Her Majesty on better quality mail sacks. Or … I'd been abducted by aliens for the purposes of strange experiments.

(I think that just about covers everything.) :heyhey:

Or you were outside taking a photo??

I prefer to call it: 'participating in the recording of images using various kinds of technical and optical devices for the gathering of photographic data.' (And with a bit of luck, by the time you've read that, I'm out the door and off up the road.) :heyhey:
