Mmm, can you see over the fence? There is no point in just killing your bit, if there is a 'supply' available to recolonise the area.

Is it really JKW?

Several years regular weedkiller treatment is the best way. Disposal of removed live material is regulated.

Don’t pull it up it makes it spread, syringe salt solution into the stems and then put weed killer on the leaves. It may take a couple of years to know if it’s gone altogether but you need to get rid ASAP

if you are housing association .
They will come out to remove and dispose of it.

I needed some bamboo shifting and they told me they would only come out to remove JKW.

Yes, it's JKW, nephews boss deals with it a lot, but I can't afford him.
I own the place so have to pay for it myself, but next door is HA, and theres a chance it may have come from his side, other side has it too by look of it.

Try to see if it is the neighbour's garden and if theirs is higher or larger then it's probably spread from them and believe you can get them to pay.

Even if you dig it up you need a licenced contractor to dispose of it.

its similar looking to Russian Vine.
Many people get the two confused so double check.

..... Although , I'd get it removed regardless as they both look crap anyway.

It might have come from either side, or originated in mine. Knobheadwankstainshitforbrains next door could possibly have it in his garden, we cut a shed load of trees down in there 2 days ago, but nephew didn't venture very far, just on our side. Either way it's going cost get rid.

JKW forms a thicket of shoots a bit like bamboo. Russian Vine is a climber that spreads over everything.

The renter? I imagine it would be the landlord’s duty to pay for if so, not the tenant’s.
