Nighttime Market Square Events.

I was wondering the same myself. There wasn't any advertising etc in Town yesterday afternoon that I could see & Google only has reference to 14th March.
Does anyone out there know any different? We were thinking of giving it a try later.
Ha! Just seen your reply thanks. Have to go out tonight then (any excuse)

Advertising has been lax, they didn't even have an event on Facebook til a week ago. It's been on their own website but fb is quickly becoming a major indicator for this style of word of mouth event.

Plenty of folks there tonight, we really enjoy going to these events. Both the Thai food & the brownie stall were spot on. Beer is getting expensive though (£5 a pint).

Enjoying a drop of red.
Completely forgot it was on. Would have been a pleasant evening for it as well.

Must-try-harder...

Went along last night, really good effort by all and well attended. Most stalls were sold out of food by the time we got their around 6 ish.

Spoke to the organiser and she was really pleased with the turn out too. Looking forward to the next one :)

Paid a visit with @tek-monkey about 20.00 afters sampling a few beers at the Bird beer festival and likewise most food outlets were running out of food.

We did manage to get some pad Thai noodles each though and they were really good but didn't do my sugar levels any good.

Must get there earlier next time.

the Chili kitchen next to HSBC was particularly good....could have done with a bit more on the rotti bread for the £6 charge, but still very very nice :)

As a new start up, I thought there was a lot of good and some bits that needed working on. I'm sure Loz will take any points on board, if she's on here. Well done for your efforts. Loz.
If you put people inside the Guildhall, maybe put some signs up to draw attention to them.
Having the stalls more spread out probably helped with congestion around the queueing but I heard a few comments about wanting a bit more choice. I thought it was ok for a crowd of that size but if word gets out, a bigger crowd next time may want more choice.
I had the Thai "(noni's in front of Boots) and thought it was excellent.
While the queue for the Fire Bar was long, they cleared people in no time.

Looking forward to October 10th!

I've already passed my comment to Loz. I thought it was a very good event, however I would like to see more seating in market square so people can sit together and enjoy the food and beer whistle watching the acts.

I know Loz has ordered more seating and tables for the next event.

A very good event.

Good selection of food and drink outlets this time and plenty of tables and chairs in the square.

Just a shame the weather was so crap that most people ended up sheltering in the Guildhall or going home.

We went this time, before the weather turned crap. However, though there was certainly plenty of choice, I can't comment about the quality because we didn't find the sound of generators, reverberating off the walls, and their attendant petrol/diesel smell particularly appetising so we adjourned to the Swan instead.
