Ashiana to close after Christmas?

I helped to arrange a friend's surprise 40th bday party there a few years ago. We needed a small table to put a projector on, so me & Ozi went to the Attic Bar, which they were using as a storage area at the time (now offices), to find something suitable. When we got upstairs there were lots of pallets of Patak's sauces, as well as other time-saving tins.

I've only ever eaten there due to the arrangements of others, and certainly wouldn't consider this to be a loss to the Stafford curry scene. It is a shame that there will be another large and somewhat prominent space empty in Stafford, though.

Perhaps they could open a three storey club playing a variety of different musical trends culminating with some cheesy 70s and 80s "pop" on the top floor.

Only an idea :)

I don't think people are eating out less, in fact in Stafford quite the opposite now we have some restaurants at the new town centre to visit. Old curry houses that provide average food (at best) are going to struggle as we actually have choice now :)

North end no longer has a curry house though given the demise of Abduls, Ashiana and the one that was in the old Crispins (?) on Stone Road. I'll stick to the new one on Doxey Road!

You want try living by that Simply Bilash, pains in the arses all of them. Seem to think all the parking in Castle St. is for them alone. They even block the disabled drop kerb with a delivery vehicle, it has been mentioned but they still do it.
Luckily the council are aware now and will finally pull their fingers out and do sumat.

Why don't they park on Sainsburys in the evening when it's free? It's not far is it! I do feel for you, but the food is good :)

Not sure, a couple of them do, yes they have been spoken to, but have chosen to ignore. If the council don't have them for dodgy parking, I'm sure the police will have them over the dodgy baccy they indulge in after closing. Unless they're giving out back handers.

I wouldn't hold much hope to be honest, this is the type of low level stuff that nether the council or police have the money to 'police' nowadays, even if they had the will, which I suspect they don't.

Ah, Conservative voters ...cockwombles :)
