Wolverhampton Road, Friars Terrace area currently gridlocked and it's spreading outwards due to accident on Wolverhampton Road. Road closed, ambulances and fire engines on site.
Was still like that when I went get the youngest from work. Hope those involved in the accident are ok.
On another note, I think I drove thru 3 months worth of rain in 10 minutes...............

A car that got stuck...……...alongside a car...……….that got stuck!!!
As stupid as all those that appear online to encourage people to "just go fast through it!" Not only do you cause yourself problems but YOU WILL be inconveniencing others.

Water level also rising on Doxey Marshes. Anyone seen if it's interfering with the new road yet?

Oh yes! They had turn many lorries away this morning. None of that piling has been done, and the road has been a lot less busier. So a good day all round!

I put in a report to the Council about the various 'lakes' around Stafford

This is an update to your enquiry dated 02/10/2019 in relation to SANDON ROAD .
A highways inspector has now visited the site and added the following notes to the report:

Flood signs are in place to advise. The outfall of highway drains are being restricted due to high levels in nearby water courses. These water courses are not inspected or maintained by Staffordshire County Council. It is recommended the customer contacts the local environment agency.

This is an update to your enquiry dated 02/10/2019 in relation to Newport Road.(Tesco Entrance)

A highways inspector has now assessed the site and arranged for repairs to be carried out.
The reported issue is not considered to be a high risk to public safety and so the repairs will be grouped with similar works in the area in order to be as efficient and cost effective as possible. Currently over 50% of these repairs take place within 60 days. The remaining defects are repaired as soon as resources are available.

waiting to hear about Glover Street.
