Yes Tividale is strange place. (Some good pubs though.) I always remember walking up to Dudley (pronounced Dudloi) and passing a mosque right next to a casino !!

Only in the Black Country I think. :heyhey:

Is "I had relatives in Tividale" Picard for "I had relatives with six fingers on each hand" or Walloon for "I had relatives with six toes of each of my three feet"? or a mixture of both? :)

Mundane facts about my day.

So in the morning, we went wallpaper shopping.
Bought wallpaper, and some throws from Laura Ashley Sale, and more throws from TK Max.

Then went to new neighbours house for afternoon tea (prosecco) party, then in the evening we went to the Village quiz, with fish and chips.
Our team came 2nd.

Came home and watched Strictly.

That was my day.

Took Mrs T to Cheltenham to have her hair done yesterday. Bought her some clobber, myself a few bits from one of the Chinese supermarkets and had lunch in Harry Cook's.
No rain down there which was nice for the folks attending the literature festival in the gardens.

Why do people buy ugly sofas that they have to cover with throws, and uncomfortable that they need scatter cushions?

Oh, was that directed at me because in my post directly before yours I said I’d bought throws?
All of our sofas and beds have both throws and scatter cushions.
These are not to cover up an “ugly sofa” but are artistically draped over to enhance the sofa and bring a colour scheme together. All of our beds have a throw draped over the bottom of the bed and scatter cushions at the top end.
We’ve just ordered two new sofas for the lounge and the Laura Ashley throws were bought to drape over the back of those.
Throws are also lovely to snuggle up under while watching TV.

This could actually be a test for those people who regardless of which body they have been born into, are confused and not entirely sure which gender they identify with.
I’d say, almost certainly, that if you think a throw is to cover up something ugly, then you’re male
If you go out shopping taking with you fabric swatches and colour charts, going to about 6 different shops before carefully choosing a throw which you know will add beauty to your room, then you’re female.

I've also found cushions handy for hiding remote controls from prying fingers … but I'm starting to think the remote controls have become sentient, and are now hiding themselves, even from me.

After finally finishing the main bedroom decorating and carpeting , my daughter ( who has a knack for getting around daddy ) has decided that she needs her room decorating and a new carpet too.
However , this time i will have a helper ( her) .... she just doesnt know it yet ;)

I meant to say, that making the bed in the morning with all the pillows, scatter cushions and throw is a bit of a faff, and, I have to say, something of an art form.

It’s also not in husband’s skill set because no matter how often he tries, he can’t make the bed the way I do.

Ive workef just off J2M5 for 12 years now so have gotten used to going off piste where needed....
For me the easiest way is to follow the A4034 into Oldbury itself over the roundabout through the place out the otherside, down past sandwell and Dudley train station. At the roundabout turn left and from there whilst I can't remember the roads you cut through an estate and end up on the outer edge of West Bromwich where you can join the black country route (A41) through to junction 10 of the M6...
I shall get the streetview man working hard tomorrow , and see if I can find that route out as well . Hubby used to live in West Brom and I spent many years driving around all those areas , but it's all changed since then with new roads. Even he couldn't fathom the way through the town centre when we took a diversion past his old house one day to avoid the M5 carpark. The roads we used to drive down are now bus lanes only
