Flu jab done....bargain at £7 and walk-in as well ! :)

Boots Had 2 week wait and charge £12.99

Local pharmacy charges £12.50 but struggling to get under 65 vaccine.

Got to walk home again now. If you see someone fainted on the pavement, could well be me:lol:

I was supposed to have mine this Saturday gone, forgot I had agreed to 9hrs overtime at work on the same day... Tried several times to phone them & let them know, but no-one answered the phone...

People used to flock to give blood when I worked in Gec Measurements and the blood bank van visited. A good way of getting paid by the works to have a lie down for half an hour and a cuppa and biscuits afterwards.

Glad to see the bowl cancer testing kits are now more sophisticated and more hygenic than the last 2 I've had in the past. Hubby just received his and it's now only the one sample to be taken and put in a sealed bottle , rather than the 3 messing about getting it into the 3 windows on a piece of cardboard in the past.

I was wondering if the system had changed. They were pretty prompt on my 60th and 62nd birthdays, but 3 months past my 64th and still nothing.

I'm not sure I can hold out much longer.

That's a shame.

It was only a matter of time before it became some sort of game show type thing on the telly - against the clock and with a public vote for style points.

The poor wife didn't get the choice of a test, ill for a week, admitted to a&e and had an emergency op to remove stage 3 bowl cancer in under 24 hours! And all this before the age of 42...

Oh no, your poor wife

Hubby's mum had it young as well, hers was only found when she had a hysterectomy. So woke up minus her bowels as well.

They only needed to take a small amount out but enough to put her with a stoma.... It's reversible luckily....

What happens on Monday evenings?

Every Monday evening my dog gets really scared and tries to hide. Something outside is scaring her and neither my wife or me can hear it. Without fail it happens on Mondays. Any ideas? We are Victoria Terrace/Peel Terrace area.

Oh dear :(
It was just over a year ago... She did 6 months of chemo and has almost finished 6 months of blood thinners following 2 X blood clots.... As you can imagine there are good and bad days...

Having said that we are very fortunate it manifested itself they way it did, at a similar time our neighbour discovered his dad had it but it had gone undiscovered for an age and was over 15 cm in length :( :(

So glad it was caught early enough to do something about @c0tt0nt0p and @littleme

(Late) mother in law was riddled with it by the time it was spotted and even lost a kidney afterwards as well. If only she hadn't been too scared to go to the doctor's when she first started feeling ill.:(

It actually wasn't the cancer that got her in the end though. She went into City hospital in Brum ( a right dirty sh1t hole) with a rash, picked up a killer infection whilst in there and never came out!

At first I was afraid, I was petrified :urgh:
Kept thinking I could never live without you by my side :o
But then I spent so many nights thinking how you did me wrong :gonk:
And I grew strong
And I learned how to get along :emo:
