Lake Sandon is slowly edging to the Chinese takeaway. I believe it has been worse but this is the worst I have seen it.

Hubby just messagedA34 Cannock Rd flooded just after Bednall turn off. Cars taking turns getting through it in the shallower parts , but even the coach had to go through it very slowly.

Tollgate Estate traffic lights are flooded going towards the A34.

For a country where the one constant is rain, we sure do suck at coping with it. It’s almost as if 9 years of austerity takes its toll

I think it'll take a few days to subside top; the water table is really high. There's a road I go down on the way to work that always floods after rain. It's been constantly flooded for the last week, even though it's been dry.

As a country we suck at coping with most things that other countries just seem to take in their stride.

Ah, the good old "Eastern Distributor Route". It's been planned for as long as I can remember. I can remember when Beaconside ended with a big drop at the Marston Road junction. When they extended it to Weston Road the plan was for it to run all the way through to junction 13 at Acton Gate.
I wonder how many new houses by the Crem will be compulsorily purchased when they decide to finish the route.
The EDR will run through those estates, we already have Hydrant Way to the Tixall road, eventually there will be a road connecting that to St Thomas Farm - but then that's it!
