Rather pissed off, after getting up and showered extra early before the plumber arrived. Just messaged him to see if he knew approximate time as he hadn't rung as promised.....not coming today after all. :(

( I know jobs can take longer than planned, but a quick phone call to say not actually coming would have been appreciated! )

Hoping the other 2 who turned up earlier in the week actually get back to me with their quotes now.........

Edit that to....one has just got back, 1 more to come ;)

Try AR Plumbing and Gas, just had Ash out this morning to sort our boiler service.

Because the weather is a complete bag of gunge … (this is a highly technical meteorological term) ... I'm trapped in the house so experimented with some downloadable free software to pull in radio teletype off the air and get accurate weather information. Managed to get it working and can read directly off various weather stations around Europe to tell me what the weather is like. Alternatively I could just look out of the window.:embarrass:

The irony is after all this work they're predicting 70 mph winds down here over night, which might blow my aerials down. Thus rendering said RTTY reception defunct, although I have managed to get it to work using online receivers.

70 mph !!! … seems a bit over the top.

i have had the floorboards replaced in the back bedroom today.

Whilst the men was working on that , it seemed fitting to install my ethernet cabling and sockets at the same time.
All rooms now come with internet :)

.... well , seemed rude not to ;)

Thanks @Cue I've just accepted the quote for the bathroom from the bloke who came back to me this morning , but will certainly make a note of AR plumbing and gas for when we need the boiler servicing etc.
Just remind me of this (AR Plumbing & gas) when I next ask who can service my decrepit back boiler!

Well.... I was gobsmacked in the summer when I saw the new neighbours kids p1ssing up their house wall . Now even more gobsmacked to look out of the window just , after hearing fireworks, only to see their dad p1ssing up the house wall :o
Nice.

Why are people “liking” that post?
It’s totally gross.

@staffordjas are you filming or recording this?
This should be reported because it’s totally unacceptable in a residential area.

Suddenly, the imminent threat of nuclear apocalypse doesn't seem so bad...

Yes, exactly. Power to the 3.
And other females, who are united in generally thinking that men are useless at washing up, or tidying or not very good at finding things. #cant find things in the fridge.
